Dawn at White Sands, White Sands Nat'l Monument, NM
Having grown up in New England, when the ground was white it always meant snow. When I visited White Sands the gypsum dunes looked like endless snow fields. In reality the temperature was 90° and the yucca plants were in bloom. I became fascinated with the little yucca in the center of this image.
